Borderlands, Civilization III and Civilization IV will all migrate their multiplayer over to Steamworks after the closure of GameSpy’s extensive server lists.
On May 31 the games will temporarily go offline until service is fully transitioned to Steamworks. During the transition players will experience interruption of ”online play, matchmaking and voiceover Internet protocol (VOIP) where applicable”. Offline play won’t be affected.
Publisher 2K has also released a list of titles that will have their online features discontinued. These are as follows:
