Namco Bandai’s apocalyptic superhero brawler Rise of Incarnates now has a date for its closed beta programme - sign up now and you’ll be in with a chance of playing the game from August 8 at 9am CET through August 18 at 9am CE.
Four characters will be available to play initially, with another one scheduled to make an appearance halfway through the closed beta on August 13.
Those characters are Mephistopheles, Lilith, Grim Reaper and Ares. Brynhildr will be added to the character roster midway through. Action will take place in the New York and Paris levels, which you’ll be able to level Avengers Assemble-style by punching each other through concrete walls. There will be some limited character customisation options to try out too, such as new outfits and so on.
The announcement follows the recent news that Namco has teamed up with Marvel to develop a series of comics for the game’s somewhat incomprehensible backstory.
