Fatshark has announced that the first downloadable content pack for their co-op shooter Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide, Sigmar’s Blessing, is now available. The DLC adds 40 new weapons and a new gameplay mechanic, the Shrine of Solace.
The Shrine of Solace allows players to sacrifice tokens to build new weapons that are specific to a heroes class and tier. The Shrine will also have new additions to it later, as well, including Offing which allows players to re-roll a weapon’s stats for a fee, and Invocate, which re-rolls a weapon’s proc.
Sigmar’s Blessing also adds forty new veteran weapons and five new weapon traits, which include Off Balance, Backstabbery, Inspirational Shot, Diversion and Safety in Numbers. The traits may appear on both Veteran and Exotic tiered weapons.The DLC features five new hero trinkets, including Sienna’s Hearthwind, Bardin’s Book of Personal Grudges, Witch Hunter’s Handbook, Kerillian’s Everbeak, and Hammer of the Empire, each of which increases the chance of loot for the corresponding hero. Every player can now salvage Trinkets, Hats and Exotic Loot.
Fatshark has also teased some upcoming updates, including a true single player solo mode and a realism mode that turns the HUD completely off, along with a new survival mode in which players fight til they literally drop dead.
