Square Enix has announced that the classic Final Fantasy VI, one of the most beloved chapters in the series, will be arriving on Steam on 16 December 2015, in time for the holidays.
The story revolves around Terra Branford, a reserved half-human, half-esper girl with a mysterious past, voyaging with a treasure hunter named Cole, who wishes to help her regain her memories. Along the way, she befriends many other memorable characters, with the player having 14 playable characters to choose from.
Final Fantasy VI will feature graphics recreated by veteran character designer Kazuko Shibuya, as well as updated controls and an optimised active-time battle system. As usual, the game will also include the requisite Steam features including Achievements and trading cards.
Gamers can check out the official Final Fantasy VI Steam store page here. It will cost €14.49.
