What’s with Snake looking all cluckin’ mad in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain? Hideo Kojima was the one to first unveil the chicken hat atop Snake’s bonce, but it wasn’t clear what it was for.
Now Konami has clarified that the chicken hat is provided for those too chicken to make it through sections they find hard in The Phantom Pain. You can skip obstacles, but look silly.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain remains without a firm release date but is expected in 2015. Until then we’ve got the mini prologue Ground Zeroes to keep us company.
