For those of you who subscribe to Obsidian Entertainment’s free-to-play tank battle game Armored Warfare a special treat is on its way to your stocking this holiday. Not only is it going to be a new playable vehicle, but it’s going to be free to all subscribed players.
The new tank was announced via a teaser video from the Armored Warfare Youtube channel. From the looks of it, it would appear that players are getting the Chinese T-59, which is based on the Russian T-54A tank. It’s not explicitly stated in the video, but the music and silhouette of the tank in the video make it pretty clear to anyone that has played World of Tanks and is aware of the debatably overpowered nature of the vehicle.
The T-59 was originally kept out of Armored Warfare because of balancing issues it would have brought to the game. It is quite a powerful machine and certainly need to be worked on extensively to fall in line with the rest of the game, but whether or not that has happened, it’s kind of hard to say the playing field is thrown off kilter by the T-59 if everyone has it anyways.
Want to see how this machine handles? Be sure to be subscribed to Armored Warfare and stay tuned. You’ll be getting a brand new toy soon enough.
