Johnathan Blow has been hard at work on his newest adventure puzzler, The Witness. If you don’t know the name, Blow was the man behind the creation of the acclaimed indie time-traveling puzzle-platformer, Braid. News hasn’t been bountiful on what The Witness is going to play like or be about, but today system requirements were released, so at least you’ll know if you can run it.
Left sitting out on the Steam page for the game, this was offered alongside a brand new video that showcases the environment of The Witness, the second of a couple videos humorously called “long screenshots”. It looks ever more gorgeous, the cell-shaded colors popping in every inch of the world. The rusted out ship and broken down fortress in particular supply a peculiar and interesting environmental quirk.
Without further ado, here’s what you’ll need to run this game:
Minimum:
OS: Windows 7
Processor: 1.8GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Intel HD 4000 series
DirectX: Version 9.0
Storage: 4 GB available space
Recommended:
OS: Windows 7
Processor: 2.4GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 780
DirectX: Version 10
Storage: 4 GB available space
Certainly doesn’t seem like anything that will tax most systems too hard. This gorgeous game is slated for January 2016. If Braid was any clue, The Witness is certainly something worth watching out for.
