Life is Strange hasn’t even finished yet, but since lead character Chloe and Max both die tragically in an elephant stampede at the end of the upcoming Episode Four, developer Dontnod is looking to change its cast is it decides to make a second season.
Ha. Ha. I jest. Actually, it’s more for artistic reasons; the firs season arc will finish Chloe and Max’s story, and it sounds like the team would like to move on to a new location and new characters if the series continues.
“We would love to have the opportunity to do another season,” producer Luc Baghadoust told Polygon in a recent interview.
“We can really go with other characters, other locations, but still keep the identity of the game, the themes of the game,” added art director Michael Koch.
There’s no concrete confirmation as to whether Dontnod will return to the franchise, and they’ve got RPG Vampyr on the horizon, but I’d say that given the game’s critical reception and sales it’s more than likely. As for Episode Four?
”The idea is that we try to keep the eight-week time frame between each episode, but we are still working on Episode 4. We are soon to be finished. It should be ready quite soon,” Koch promises.
