Bandai Namco has revealed a few different upgrade options for PC Dark Souls 2 players who want to pick up the forthcoming enhanced edition, Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin.
Rather than forcing us to splash out full price for the game again, there are two separate prices; one for those who own the original base game only, and one for those who’ve already bought its DLC.
Scholar of the First Sin mixes around the game’s encounters and level layouts, improves the graphics (to what we were shown in the actual trailers), adds new items and battles, and bumps up the max online players from four to six. Additional improvements were added in a free patch, which is now live for owners of Dark Souls 2.

I’m glad that Bandai Namco has decided to cut down the price a little. It’s still hard to tell whether slightly fancier graphics and a few new trinkets will be worth that extra twenty dollars, but if you own the main game and haven;y yet picked up the DLC the price seems far more reasonable.
