Frictional Games and Imago Films have released Transmission #1, the first episode in a live-action series inspired by its psychological horror game SOMA.
Without wishing to spoil anything, it covers many of the same themes and ideas seen in the game. It’s all well handled and acted, too, far better than your average live-action spin-off.
It’s not the first time that Frictional has messed around with video. Back in 2013 the team released a number of less dialogue-heavy, more atmospheric teasers starring some of the same actors. It’s a nice way to flesh out the game’s universe.
