As we reported earlier on, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not be a standard PC port. Raven are updating the game to feature: “enhanced textures, physically based rendering and high-dynamic range lighting”.
In a livestream that took place last night, Infinity Ward showed off a brief comparison video between three of the revealed maps in the game: Crash, Backlot and Crossfire.
As you can probably tell, the game does look significantly better, though we would expect nothing less considering it has been nine years since Modern Warfare came out.
Despite Modern Warfare Remastered looking great, fans have begun to question why the game is only shipping with ten maps when the game released with sixteen maps (not including the four DLC levels). There’s an ongoing suspicion amongst fans that Infinity Ward may release the Variety Map Pack down the line as DLC. The fear is that this DLC pack may cost money, which it arguably shouldn’t considering how old Modern Warfare is.
