Game Informer’s June cover story featured a huge preview of Dishonored 2, revealing lots of new details for the previously secretive game.
Back in July 2015 we wrote about how Dishonored 2 will allow the player to choose two protagonists, Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin. Game Informer have revealed both characters will have their own unique set of abilities, giving players two completely different options on how they want to play the game. In addition to this, the story changes depending on which character you choose. Players will most likely need to finish Dishonored 2 twice to understand what’s truly going on in the game.
Unlike the first game, Corvo no longer is a silent protagonist. This time around he will be voiced by Stephen Russell, known by a lot of players as Garrett in the Thief series. More recently Russell provided the voice for Fallout 4’s Nick Valentine. Other voice actors in Dishonored 2 include: Erica Luttrell (Keesha from The Magic School Bus), Jamie Hector (Marlo from The Wire) as Vice Overseer Liam Byrne and Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones) as the leader of the Howler Gang.
Players who attempt to go on no-kill runs will be glad to know there is a quick save/load system in the game, just like in the first Dishonored. Most PC players are used to hammering the F5 and F9 keys when things get difficult in games, Dishonored 2 won’t be an exception to that.
You can check out this video by Game Informer, where they talk to some of the staff at Arkane Studios about the gameplay of Dishonored 2.
Dishonored 2 is scheduled to released November 11th for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
