There has been much speculation for a few years on a new Beyond Good and Evil game but the IP holders Ubisoft have stayed quiet about the possible project. Today, Ubisoft confirmed that Michel Ancel is currently working with the Ubisoft Montpellier Studio on a new Beyond Good & Evil game.
Little is known about the project including whether or not it will be a direct sequel, prequel or even a spin off. Other than a few teased concept art images, little details are out there. When asked about when the official reveal would happen Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said <b?”It’s difficult to say, Michel is working on it, but he’s doing two games at the same time–he’s doing Wild at the same time. It’s coming along, but he has to spend more time on it, so we can see it faster.”</b>
The original Beyond Good and Evil was a huge success with both critics and players alike and a second game has been much anticipated. A second game, if executed well could become a cult classic like the first. Only time will tell as to when the official reveal happens but it could be sometime yet.
