Warm Lamp games’ stealth inspired game Beholder will launch on steam tomorrow. The game has already been on the receiving end of high praise for its distinctive visuals and strategy stealth gameplay.
The game places you in the role of a newly appointed state landlord. Set in a dystopian totalitarian state, the government controls every aspect of private and public life. Laws are oppressive, Surveillance is total and rights to privacy are dead. As a state-appointed landlord, your job is to maintain the building and spy on tenants to report activity to the government.
As the landlord you can bug their phones, install secret cameras, search through their belongings when they are not home to find out what they are up too. Alongside this, you must keep the apartments in a good state and maintain the upkeep of the entire complex.
The game features quests and choices, do you want to help your tenants avoid being taken in by the state? you can try to help them but make sure suspicion doesn’t fall upon you or your family will pay the price. Every choice you make has consequences and the game is packed full of them.
Beholder releases on November 9th on Steam, an interesting game to release right after the U.S election day. Will you be for the people or for the regime?
