Team 17 is putting out a new, classic-style Worms game later this year, and today they announced that the worms will be joined by an army of guest stars from a wide range of franchises. As a preorder bonus, at least.
The All-Stars preorder pack will bring in a wide array of bonus weapons and content. From the world of Rocket League is an octane battle-car, while Orcs Must Die brings in a minions weapon. You’ll be able to use Saints Row IV’s dubstep gun, a goat-on-a-rope inspired by Goat Simulator, as well as the Turkey Bomb and Liberty Strike weapons from Broforce. In addition to the bonus weapons, you’ll get extra missions based on the Escapists and Unturned.
On top of all the weapons, there are a host of cosmetic masks to dress the worms up in, including options from Orcs Must Die, Unturned, Goat Simulator, Payday 2, the Escapists, and Yooka-Laylee. Steam buyers will also get a full set of Team Fortress 2 masks, plus the sentry gun. In addition to all the themed content, pre-orders will include more generic bonus masks and weapons, as well as five extra missions.
Worms W.M.D. is due out August 23.
