It appears Game Informer’s clever investigating was correct after all – Agents of Mayhem is real, and now we have gameplay footage to drool over. Agents of Mayhem is an open world action game that takes place after the ‘recreate Earth’ ending in Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell.
You play as three different agents (with twelve selectable agents in the game) who you can switch to and from throughout the game. The agents you play are tasked with the mission to stop the terrorist organisation known as Legion from destroying the world’s nations. Agents of Mayhem takes place in a futuristic version of Seoul in South Korea, named ‘the city of tomorrow’.
The footage below also contains an interview with Project Design Director, Anoop Shekar. A lot of commenters on the YouTube video have mentioned how much Shekar references Saints Row. We think Volition really don’t want you to forget about their money-making series.
IGN’s interview reveals Agents of Mayhem takes place in the world of Saints Row, so don’t be surprised if you see any recurring characters from the Saints Row series make their way to this game.
