Arkane are hard at work fixing the wide array of performance issues with Dishonored 2. Fresh off the back of the upcoming patch, the developers have also announced that free downloadable content will be releasing some time in December.
Very little detail is known about the DLC thus far but we do know it will contain a Game + mode and feature a new difficulty level for players to test themselves against. Arkane have yet to release an official statement on the new DLC giving any insight to what the full features will be.
It is likely that Arkane are trying to restore good will towards the franchise and by extension themselves after a very rocky release for the sequel. The game was plagued with performance issues upon launch that led to a mass stream of negative reviews on the Steam store page that has directly affected sales of the game.
We’ll keep an eye to the ground for news about the new DLC and hopefully Arkane will be able to patch out the technical issues so PC users can play the game as intended with a solid frame rate.
