Blue Byte has announced that the first downlodable content pack, Wildwater Bay, is now available for their futuristic city-building sim Anno 2205. The DLC is completely free.
According to the developer, Wildwater Bay includes a massive new Temperate Earth map. The map represents over 100,000 acres of terrain, making it one of Anno 2205’s biggest maps. The DLC also includes a new sector quest, the titular Wildwater Bay. The quest has the player solving a mystery to discover what happened to those underwater cities that appeared in Anno 2070.
The Wildwater Bay DLC is included in the game’s 1.3 update, which also adds three new ornaments, a new Corporation HQ ability that increases overall public building supply capacity, a clearer World Market interface and more special “Big 5″ events that bring in income.
The new free content is a taste of what’s to come, as Ubisoft is also teasing the upcoming premium Tundra expansion, which will be free for owners of the season pass. It’s due to arrive sometime in February.
