Let's forget about the horrible DRM issues that plagued Anno 2070, and just hope that sequel Anno 2205 doesn't treat its players as potential criminals quite so blatantly. Because it's looking very nice indeed. Continuing the near-future theme that the Anno series now favours, the game's main theme is humanity's increasing need for raw resources - a need that will eventually drive us into space.
Anno 2205 Beta cancelled, pre-order customers to receive in-game bonus instead

The company revealed the news in a post on the Ubisoft forums, though they didn't give a concrete reason for the cancellation. The game's November 3 release date remains unchanged.
