Gwent is a card game that is featured in the much beloved Witcher Series, which is actually getting a stand-alone version, much like Hearthstone. However, before they launch there is going to be a closed beta, but that is not all - prior to the closed beta they are going to be running a stress test.
The developer CD Projekt wants you to participate in blowing their servers wide open prior to the start of the beta. The event will run for two nonconsecutive days: September 23rd at 11AM through 3 PM EST and September 27th from 2PM to 6PM EST. If you want to participate you will have to get one of the limited number of ’Kill the Server’ keys from the official Facebook or Twitter account.
However there are somethings that CD Projekt wants you to know; firstly, the event will be on PC only. The next piece of information is that getting into KtS doesn’t mean you’re in the closed beta, but you do need to be signed up for the closed beta to be able to even apply for KtS. Next, you will not be able to create your own deck and there will be no level progression. Finally, once the event concludes “the test game will be removed from your shelf”.
Even with all that in mind, this means that progress is being made towards the eventual closed beta test, which is currently scheduled for October 25th.
