Robot Entertainment has announced that Orcs Must Die! and its sequel will be 90% off on Steam this week, in a sale running from today to the 28th February. The sale is timed to get gamers still unacquainted with the third person shooter/tower defense hybrid ready for the studio’s ambitious new MOBA, Orcs Must Die: Unchained, which has an open beta coming to Steam soon.
The studio will also be hosting shows on its Twitch.tv channel during the sale, including the following streams scheduled:
- Insider Access, Tuesday 2/23 3:00pm CT - Sit down with designer Jerome Jones to talk about designing Orcs Must Die! 2 and how he's applying OMD's classic design ideas to the new 5-player co-op maps in Orcs Must Die! Unchained.
- Orcs After Dark, Thursday 2/25 6:30pm CT - Robot's nighttime show returns from hiatus with a brand new live episode from inside the Robot Entertainment playtest lab. Get online and play the latest patch release of Orcs Must Die! Unchained with the game's developers, or join in the live chat to ask questions and win prizes - you could even win access to the OMDU Closed Beta.
- Facing Your Worst Nightmares, Saturday 2/27 6:30pm CT - Take on the most unforgiving Nightmare levels in Orcs Must Die! 1 & 2 with loadouts that can work for everyone.
