In the world of Team 17 and Unicube’s Sheltered, your family is the most reliable group of survivors you have in your day to day survival. Losing any one of them is a crushing blow to your cause. Luckily, a new update to the game allows you to at least fill those holes in your heart and expedition teams.
‘Bloodlines’ was announced today in a community update on the game’s Steam Page alongside a video giving a bigger look at how the major changes of the update work. The most obvious is the addition of the titular bloodlines to the game. Out in the wasteland are survivors that didn’t make it with your immediate family to the shelter for whatever reason. You can now recruit these survivors into your community, taking up the role of any regular family member with all the benefits and perks. The HUD also got an update to distinguish family members from outsiders.
That wasn’t the only thing either. As you’ll see in the above video, players will be able to embark on a new scenario called ‘Family Ties’ that includes several new quests. Additionally, the game got a full overhaul of bug fixes and optimizations, including a slew of stats added to weapons like required strength, accuracy, and damage and new spawn rates for enemy factions to name a few.
Sheltered is in Steam Early Access right now and the game can be purchased for 40% off. The ‘Bloodlines’ update is available in the game now. To see a full list of the changes that come with ‘Bloodlines’, check out the community update on the matter.
