Players of the RTS-meets-city-builder Anno 2205 now have some new options as they plan their futuristic urban development, as the game’s first DLC pack launched today.
The Tundra expansion adds a new sector to manage, the desolate Vanha Plains. “In this new 82,000 acre territory, players will discover new gameplay tactics as they need to dry the marshes before settling in the area among the muskoxen and the icy surroundings,” says the official press release. The DLC will feature two new population types, the Tundra Scientists and the Tundra Protectors, whose needs will have to be met by using five new production chains and ten new types of goods.
”A new additional module type can be unlocked by solving the sector quest and inquiring on the past generations failures,” which will improve farms and factories both in the Tundra and other sectors.
In addition to the paid content, a free update called Corporation HQ will be available to all players. “This patch enhances the corporation progression screen to make it more intuitive, and to provide a good overview of the player’s achievements and improvements. With this update, players can now sell goods depending on requests to NPC traders.”
Owners of the Season Pass already have access to the DLC, or it can be purchased individually for $11.99. (And due to Ubisoft’s region-locked Youtube channels, try this link if the embed below doesn’t work for you.)
