Black Desert Online made waves when it released earlier this month for its beautiful graphics, intriguing world design, and in-depth character creator. Now, less than thirty days later, it’s getting a massive expansion that promises to add tons of content for free.
The update will open up the Mediah region, adding 30% to the game’s landmass, along with tons of new content. There’s a new boss called Kzarka that can take on hundreds of players at a time, new guild missions, a 40v40 skirmish instance, new weapons and armor, craftable alchemy stones for stat bonuses, and an increased level cap for equipment enchantment. On top of that, there are over 1,000 new quests.
Black Desert Online has been going strong in Korea since 2014, and it’s cool to see so much new content so soon after the game’s worldwide release. The Mediah expansion goes live today.
