You've long yearned to see a proper conclusion to the tale of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Darksiders II wasn't the one to do it, but if these rumours hold true, Darksiders III should bring us close.
If you're able to trust NeoGAF as a reputable source given the subject matter and the delivered evidence, this one shouldn't be too hard to believe. If you're a sceptic who holds Photoshop in high regard, however, get your grains of salt ready.
Popping up at exactly 11:00am GMT today (about 20 minutes ago) a NeoGAF user by the name of Piccio_ssl opened a thread with an easy to read title of "Darksiders 3 leaked" (we fixed the spelling flaw). Dropping in a few screenshots showing an aesthetic relatively close to the Darksiders history, the shots portrayed what we can imagine to be a female lead character in various dreary locations.
Apparently grabbed through a product listing showing up on Amazon. Our new main character is said to be Fury - a magic-totting warrior who's quick to pull out a firearm when needed. Her various magicks allow her to take on a number of different forms in an 'open-ended, living, free-form' environment that promises some Metroid Prime-style backtracking.
Said to be scheduled for release next year, Darksiders III will put us against the Seven Deadly Sins on PS4, Xbox One and PC. No word whether it'll get the Switch treatment even with the various Darksiders Remasters making it onto the ill-fated WiiU. You can thank both THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games for this one.
