The start of the year was once destined to be all about blasting off a man's skull from 200 meters away. Sniper Elite 4 and Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 were slated to release very close to one another. But that original plan is getting further off the mark with one more delay.
Originally slated to release in January, player feedback delivered to the development team during numerous show floor demonstrations toward the end of last year made CI Games rethink their decision to release in January resulting in a 3 month delay.
Then targeting an early April release, news arrived early this morning that CI Games have pushed Sniper: Ghost Warrior 4 back another few weeks to allow for some final alterations. Having dished out lengthy gameplay videos over the last few months, it isn't obvious what these changes could be - but according to Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, they're based around player feedback from the last beta test period.

“We’ve worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series. While it’s an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience – we know the wait will be worth it."
Your in-store pre-order slips likely won't make a sliver of sense anymore, but hopefully you'll be getting a more well-rounded game once it comes to turning them in. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is now slated for release April 25.
