It's been a while since we've talked about Injustice 2, the DC Comics fighting game from Mortal Kombat developers Netherrealm, since it came out in May this year on PS4 and Xbox One only. We wrote an article about why it's definitely coming to PC, and it's possible we're about to be proven right once again since two European retailers have listed the PC version of the game - including Amazon.
Injustice 2: Why it's coming to PC, and what we want to see!
No more Batman Arkham games coming, according to Batman
One of the biggest PC disappointments of the year so far is the bizarre non-appearance of Injustice 2 on PC, but now we may at last be getting close to a release as both Amazon France and German retailer GamesMania have posted listings for the PC version of the game. GamesMania even have mocked up box art.
While by no means a guarantee, combined with everything else we know such as Injustice 1 also being late on PC, we're starting to make the PC release of Injustice 2 a certainty.
We're even willing to make a prediction, or rather an educated guess: Injustice 2 PC will release early 2018 as an Ultimate Edition with all the DLC. The final DLC fighter should come out in February 2018 so an Ultimate Edition, similarly to the first game or Mortal Kombat X would make a lot of sense.
Injustice 2 released in May 2017 to a lot of acclaim, in fact it's one of the year's best games. DC fans enjoyed the excellent story and rich fan-service, the fighting was accessible to casual fans yet still had the depth for professional e-Sports players, the gear system worked surprisingly well, and it has a lot of content even if you never take a step online.
Rest assured, if and when Injustice 2 comes to PC we'll be the first to let you know - and play it.
