Planet Coaster continues its line of unexpected partnerships by offering a flagship coaster in-game before its real-life counterpart.
Based in Ohio, the world-famous Cedar Point amusement park recently announced a new coaster by the brutally sounding name of Steel Vengeance. Although the massive construction won't be taking thrillseekers up in the skies until next year, Planet Coaster players can subject their park peeps to it right now.
Set to open up in the Spring of next year, Steel Vengeance has already claimed the title of being the tallest, fastest and longest hybrid rollercoaster in the world. The fully-customisable construct can be thrown together into any park of your choosing, with the in-game camera - and makeshift VR support - allowing players to get a sense of its scale long before members of the general public. Jump into a first-person view and go along for the ride!

With The Success Of Their Last Two Games, We're Getting Frontier Expo 2017
The partnership comes just a few weeks after Frontier Developments teamed up with Universal Studios to bring a sliver of the silver screen to player's parks. The Munsters, Back to the Future and Knight Rider content packs introduced branded props and small rides to help players to add a little real-world flair to their parks. And although the Universal packs were one of the first paid-for DLC options for Planet Coaster, the Steel Vengeance ride returns to the game's more conventional free offerings.
With Gamescom right around the corner, we can expect news of the Autumn Update to land sometime next week. Summer is still in full swing, however, so don't expect all the juicy details to arrive in one go.
