We know E3 is usually the time to get exited for all those new release trailers and announcements; but don't go thinking now's the time for Beyond Good & Evil 2. It won't be there.
Though Ubisoft are still yet to really say much - if anything - about the long-awaited sequel, it's designer Michel Ancel has been giving fans what they want through Instagram for months.
Keeping up with his peculiar update methods, Ancel recently posted to Instagram letting fans know not to get their hopes up. Though it was the same platform he used to informally announce his involvement with the project last year, there hasn't been much said since. Replying to a query, Ancel said "not sure that E3 would be the best place to showcase Bg&e2"
Beyond Good & Evil 2 Was Re-Confirmed Back In October Last Year
All is certainly not lost, however, as the Rayman creator went on to suggest that we should be hearing about it sometime this year. Just not at E3, it seems. The other main event with a heavy Ubisoft presence this year would be Gamescom in Cologne, Germany just a few short months after E3. Typically known as the E3 of Europe, it's a massive show that's still seen publishers back out of big press conferences in recent years. Could that be the spot?
That being said, while Beyond Good & Evil 2 was formally announced back in 2008, it's likely still in the very early days of development. It isn't clear what became of the game following that reveal almost 10 years ago, but it was that legend that seemingly spurred Ubisoft into firing things back up again in recent months.
Could this be the development time-frame to beat Final Fantasy XV and The Last Guardian?
