With the Final Fantasy XV - Windows Edition for PC coming next year, Square Enix have partnered with Nvidia to bring the game to our fair system with plenty of graphics options unique to PC. That may be bad news for Radeon owners, but that does mean that Nvidia will be showing off the PC version of Final Fantasy 15 at every opportunity - starting today, as they just released a brand new gameplay video showing FF15 on PC in 4K at 60FPS. It's also embedded below, along with a few 4K screenshots.
Everything you need to know about Final Fantasy 15 Mods and Mod Support!
Here's everything we know about Final Fantasy XV on PC!
The video shows the party of Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto taking on Voretooths and a large Level 32 Garalessa, showing off the hectic Final Fantasy 15 combat in the midst of the open world in full crispy 4K PC gameplay, at 60FPS without an ounce of slowdown or lag. It's quite impressive certainly. Nvidia are clearly running it on an optimum system, and no idea how well "regular" PCs will stand up to the gameplay, especially in more punishing areas such as heavily populated towns or boss encounters.
Thanks to Nvidia, the Windows Edition will contain such graphical enhancements as Nvidia Turf Effects for Realistic grass simulation, Nvidia HairWorks for Advanced hair simulation, Nvidia Flow for Combustible fire, smoke and fluid simulation, Nvidia HFTS for Advanced shadow algorithms, Nvidia VXAO for High quality ambient occlusion, Nvidia Ansel for Versatile screenshot captures, and more. Most importantly there will be a first-person camera mode and mod support.
You can see some 4K screenshots below from the PC version too.
Final Fantasy XV tells the story of Prince Noctis of Eos and his attempts to win back his homeland from a powerful foe. It came out on Xbox One and PS4 in November 2016, mostly to acclaim. The Windows Edition of the game will be out in 2018, and the Steam page is up now for Wishlisting.
