To celebrate, Paradox have released a new trailer which we have here or embedded below. This trailer shows off the intriguing Mysteries of the game, which you can select one of when you start the game. You can check out our exclusive gameplay video for some of them in motion. Mysteries include floating spheres, black shifting cubes, black oil, portals to other places, and even alien encounters. You'll be pleased to hear that pretty much all of them are based on classic science-fiction, including Star Trek and Stargate. Here's hoping for either demons from Hell or heat-ray spewing metal tripods.
We've also had a hands-on with the game, which you can read our impressions of here. We were greatly impressed despite having the 100-1 misfortune of an asteroid hitting our Dome, saying "It has a charm that many management games lack, and an ability not to take itself too seriously... There are a large number of management-strategy games out in 2018... And yet, based on the short amount of time we spent on the red planet, Surviving Mars could well be the best Management-Strategy Sim out this year."
Surviving Mars can be checked out over on Steam</b> where the team give regular community updates, and will be available to pre-order from February 13 - just in time for Valentine's Day.
Surviving Mars, if you need a reminder, is out March 15. That's just over a month. Yes, we're excited too.
