Destiny 2 is getting a major new update next week - Update 2.5.2, and it will signify the release of this year’s Solstice of Heroes, as well as a number of other tweaks and fixes that players have been asking for.
Namely, the Lord of Wolves nerf will be dropping with two-five-two, which means a major shift in PvP meta. This is important because the Iron Banner event is currently live, and the infamous burst-shotgun is dominating the leaderboards.
Destiny 2 Update 2.5.2
Most exciting addition that’s coming with this year’s Solstice of Heroes is surely the European Aerial Zone, which will ask of players to do a dedicated boss run if they wish to unlock this year’s unique items and cosmetics. Here’s the complete changelog for Update 2.5.2:
- Lord of Wolves: effective range decreased, ammo drops decreased (especially in Release the Wolves mode)
- Tribute Hall: certain Triumphs no longer require a full set of thematic gear for completion
- Iron Banner: quest objective values adjusted
- Menagerie/Chalice: Heroic Menagerie will always drop a Sword on first run, with subsequent runs affording a 25% for further Sword drops
