Respawn Entertainment has pushed a small patch for Apex Legends addressing the Twitch Prime Loot exploit on PC.
Players discovered that they could obtain Twitch Prime rewards, which included five loot boxes and the Omega Point Pathfinder skin, by typing a certain string into the game’s launch options. Given the rather simple nature of the exploit, chances are that quite a few people jumped on board.
Respawn Entertainment has also stated that it will remove the Omega Point Pathfinder skin from any Apex Legends accounts that obtained it through the Twitch Prime loot exploit.
Neither the five loot boxes nor the items obtained from them were mentioned in the tweet, meaning that the removal could only apply to the skin itself.
The patch fixing the Twitch Prime loot exploit is now live, so those seeking to impress their Apex Legends peers with the Omega Point Pathfinder skin, will have to go through legitimate means of obtaining it.
