Update: As of March 17, Call of Duty: Warzone features a dedicated solo mode that sees players dropping into Verdansk on their own. The mode uses the same mechanics as trios – including the ability to buy Self-Revive kits – but lacks advantages like communicating with of being revived by your teammates.
Take Verdansk on by yourself.

Original: Call of Duty: Warzone marks the first time the series gets a free-to-play version of a battle royale mode. While its announcement revealed a team focus, players are likely wondering whether or not the title will also feature a solo mode.
Here’s everything we know about Call of Duty: Warzone’s solo mode and whether or not you can drop into battle by yourself.
Call of Duty: Warzone Solo Mode
At launch, Call of Duty: Warzone will not support a solo mode. Publisher Activision has confirmed that players will only have the option of dropping in as trios.
That being said, Call of Duty: Warzone will allow players to drop in a different location than their teammates and take on other players by themselves.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s Gulag also offers a chunk of a solo mode experience. When players get eliminated for the first time, they’re sent to the Gulag where they must win 1v1 fights for another go at the match proper.
While the battle royale will launch with just trios, it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see a solo mode being added as an option further down the line.
Call of Duty: Warzone is free-to-play and available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
