Chrono Odyssey set the bar very high when it launched its gameplay trailer back at the Summer Game Fest. Developed by South Korean studio NPIXEL, this upcoming MMORPG will dazzle you with its realistic graphics, breathtaking scenery, and intense fast-paced combat as you explore the vast world of Setera.

Those aren’t the only things that the game is bringing to the table. With a wide range of classes and features, players can’t help but be hyped up about this game and wonder when it will finally be playable.

Chrono Odyssey Release Date

Chrono Odyssey is set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, however the release date for the game is still set for 2025. During its first reveal, the game was planned to be released in 2022, but it’s clear that setbacks have delayed the game’s initial launch. In its Q1 2024 financial results, Kakao Games listed Chrono Odyssey for release in 2025.

Chrono Odyssey Gameplay

Chrono Odyssey features six unique classes for players to choose from. Whether you prefer the long-range precision of a Ranger with a bow, the skillful blade of a Swordsman, the arcane power of a Sorcerer, the steadfast defense of a Paladin, the fierce might of a Berserker, or the stealth and lethality of an Assassin, each class offers its own distinctive abilities and playstyle.

The combat from the trailer somewhat reminds me of the Monster Hunter series, where you’ll need to carefully time your attacks as you learn the boss’ patterns. Also, what sets this MMO apart from others is the ability to use a Chronotector, a time-manipulating device that allows you to freeze time and rewind your character to a state before they receive a painful attack.

Chrono Odyssey Story

The game revolves around Setera, a beautiful land that appears peaceful yet is filled with dangers due to the war against the Void. The chaos caused by twisted time and space and contradicting timelines overwhelm this place, and it’s your job as the player to uncover the secrets to find a way to save everyone.
