Cities: Skylines 2 is the long-awaited sequel to Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order’s city builder and, if the idea of building sprawling cities appeals to you, there’s a chance you may want to know what its PlayStation 5 and PS4 release date might be.
Judging by how things went for its predecessor, Cities: Skylines 2’s PlayStation 5 and PS4 release date is only the beginning of the journey. Future DLC will likely expand upon the game’s features and playing since launch gives you more time to familiarize yourself with the title’s complex mechanics.
When Will Cities: Skylines 2 Be Released on PlayStation 5 and PS4?
Cities: Skylines II’s PlayStation 5 release date was originally slated for October 2023. One month before launch, publisher Paradox Interactive announced the delay of the city builder’s console versions until spring 2024.

The delay would hopefully give the developers more time to “reach the quality targets we have set” and “provide the best experience for our players.”
In the case of Cities: Skylines II’s PS4 release date, things are even clearer, given how there never was one to begin with. The sequel was developed from the get-go as a current-gen title. Much like with its Xbox counterpart, the title will skip the last-gen version of Sony’s console.
More details about Cities: Skylines II PlayStation 5 release date should be shared over the next couple of weeks and months.
In the meantime, read up what we know about map size and locations in the sequel and its PC specs.
