Publisher Coffee Stain Publishing and developer Ghost Ship Games are hosting a free weekend event for co-op shooter Deep Rock Galactic in celebration of the title’s third anniversary.
Players can hop in and play through as much of Deep Rock Galactic as they can until March 1 at 10 AM PT/6 PM GMT, when its free weekend is scheduled to end.
You can slay bugs with up to four friends but, if you’re more of a lone wolf, you can also tackle the missions in single player. You won’t be entirely alone, though, having a trusty AI drone pal to help keep the swarm at bay and mine those precious minerals you’re after.
Deep Rock Galactic caught the attention of players since it entered Steam Early Access. After fully launching in 2020, the title secured its spot as the 7th highest rated game on Steam, which is no small feat.
Content is also still coming. Update 33 introduced new biomes and enemy, while the recently released 2021 roadmap announced mod support and a new mission type are on the way.
