Defiance 2050, the re-imagining of the MMO-shooter from Trion Worlds, is available now to play for free - which is good news.

The platforms Defiance 2050 is available for are PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but one of the big hot-button issues right now in gaming is cross-platform play. Sony famously has been against this, but other platforms have embraced it. So does Defiance 2050 support cross-platform play?

Defiance 2050 - Cross-Platform Play Support

Unfortunately, while the game is indeed available for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, there is no support for play across those systems. This is according to a FAQ Trion Worlds posted about the game.

"Defiance 2050 can be played separately on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 and will not be cross-platform compatible."

So unfortunately, much like the previous version of Defiance, if you want to play with a friend you better make sure you're both playing the game on the same platform.
