Defiance 2050 is out now and is free to play, with several character classes to choose from - you can even use multiple character classes on the same character!
But the rarest class is the Demolitionist Character Class, as it's not available at the start on the free-to-play version of the game. So what is the Demolition character class and how do I get Demolitionist in Defiance 2050? We'll show you - although you might not like the answers.
Defiance 2050 - What Is The Demolitionist Class
The Demolitionist Class is a specialist in explosives. Their special character ability is a Remote Explosive which does a lot of damage. They can be upgraded with passive abilities that increase the AoE size of explosions for grenades and rockets, decrease the damage these cause to the player, create a Hatchling to fight for you, and allow them to use explosives more often. They're a lot of fun.
Defiance 2050 - How Do I Get The Demolitionist Class?
Unlike the other four character classes, the Demolitionist class is currently not available in the standard free-to-play version of Defiance 2050. Instead, here's how you get it - or when:
- Have bought the Demolitionist Founder's Pack - this was available on Steam, Trion Store, PSN and Microsoft Store. Unfortunately as of right now it is no longer available, so right this instant there is no way to get the Demolitionist Class if you haven't bought it already.
- It will be available on August 7th in-game - Trion have said that the Demolitionist Class "will be available from the in game class vendor", as well as presumably to buy again in the Defiance Store. They have now confirmed that it will be available on August 7. The Class will be available, alongside the other character classes, from the class vendor at The Crater - see here for all the information on how to do this.
</ul>
Unfortunately for now, you'll have to wait to get the Demolitionist Class. We have no word yet if new players will be able to choose the demolition class when creating a character, when it's available again, but we'll update this article when we know more.
