Publisher Frontier Foundry and developer KeokeN Interactive have unveiled Deliver Us Mars as their upcoming atmospheric sci-fi adventure game. As the title suggests, the sequel to Deliver Us The Moon sends players to the Red Planet, where they must brave new dangers in their attempt to save humanity from extinction.
Deliver Us Mars was unveiled during 2022’s Future Games Show digital showcase, which was when we also learned the first batch of details about what it offers. More will be shared over the coming months but, in the meantime, here’s everything we know about the title, including details about its release date, gameplay, and more.
Deliver Us Mars Release Date
The Deliver Us Mars release date was slated for September 27, 2022, where it was meant to launch on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4. Unfortunately, KeokeN Interactive recently announced that it will be delayed until the 2nd of February 2023.
“It is important to us that this experience is the best it can be at launch. With this in mind, we’ve collectively made the difficult decision to move the release date to 2nd of February 2023 in order to ensure that we are able to live up to that ambition.” said the developer in a statement about the delay. “Whilst we understand this news might be disappointing, we are excited for you all to face the challenges of Mars, traverse its hostile environments, and discover the mystery of the ARKS.”
Deliver Us Mars Story
Set 10 years after the Fortuna mission, Deliver Us Mars sees humanity edging ever closer to extinction. You step into the shoes of Kathy Johanson, who joins the crew of the Zephyr as it responds to a mysterious distress call from Mars.
After crash-landing on the Red Planet, it’s up to you and your trusty ASE drone to recover the ARK colony ships – which were stolen by a mysterious faction called the Outward – in hopes of avoiding humanity’s complete downfall.
Kathy also has a personal motivation for taking part, as her father, Isaac, joined Outward when the group escaped to Mars.
Deliver Us Mars Gameplay
Deliver Us Mars features a handcrafted world with a harsh landscape. In order to survive, you’ll need to both complete challenging puzzles and put your climbing axes to good use when physical obstacles bar the way towards your objective.
You’ll also scuba dive, float in zero gravity, and execute a launch sequence inside a spaceship.
Deliver Us Mars System Requirements
There’s not a lot of information regarding Deliver Us Mars’ system requirements yet, although it is confirmed that running the game will require a 64-bit processor and operating system. The title is built using Unreal Engine 4 and will support ray tracing, so there’s a chance that it will accommodate both older hardware while making use of tech found in newer GPUs.
Where can you buy Deliver Us Mars and how much does it cost?
Deliver Us Mars’s PC version will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store while its console versions will be available on their respective storefronts closer to launch. The standard edition will be priced at £24.99/$29.99/€29.99, while the Deluxe Edition, available only on PC, costs £29.99/$34.99/€34.99.
