Publisher Frontier Foundry and developer KeokeN Interactive today unveiled the final pre-release trailer for upcoming sci-fi adventure game Deliver Us Mars.
Although brief, with a runtime of just 57 seconds, Deliver Us Mars’s Countdown to Launch trailer gives us a glimpse of multiple environments and characters.
The former range from the rocket launch pad from where the Zephyr launches to several interior locations, as well as Mars’ dark exterior, which protagonist Kathy Johanson and crew get to explore in a dedicated vehicle.
Several characters are also featured, as the dialogue in the background establishes the high stakes of the mission at the game’s core alongside the inevitable tensions such an endeavour brings.
Deliver Us Mars centers on the Zephyr crew as they explore the Red Planet in an effort to recover the ARK colony ships stolen by a mysterious faction called the Outward.
The colony ships are vital to ensure the survival of the human race, as Earth’s atmosphere continues to deteriorate. They, however, aren’t the narrative’s sole focus.
Kathy Johanson’s personal motivation for joining the mission involves finding her father, Isaac, who joined the Outward. In addition, she may not be the only character having their own goals.
Set 10 years after the events of the first game in the series, Deliver Us Mars sees players exploring a handcrafted rendition of Mars whose harsh terrain can be overcome thanks to various tools, including Kathy’s trusty set of climbing axes.
Players must complete challenging puzzles as they push forward to reach the colony ships, untangling the title’s narrative in the process.
Deliver Us Mars is currently slated to release on February 2 and headed to PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4.
