Blizzard has revealed the start and end dates of Diablo 2: Resurrected upcoming Early Access and Open Beta tests, alongside the content that players will be able to access before its full launch later in September.
Diablo 2: Resurrected’s Early Access beta kicks off first, its start date slated for August 13 at 10 AM PDT/6 PM BST. This test will only be available to players who pre-order the game on either PC or console and is set to last until August 16 at the same hour.
The title’s Open Beta kicks off one week later, on August 20 at 10 AM PDT/6 PM BST, its end date set for August 23, again, at the same hour. Both tests will be available for pre-load on all platforms a few days before they kick off.
Both Diablo II: Resurrected beta tests will give players a chance to try out the Amazon, Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, and Paladin classes – the latter two weren’t available during its technical alpha – and include the game’s first two acts alongside their remastered cinematics.
You can tackle them either on your own or alongside up to eight players, experience, monster health, and item quantity scaling as your party’s numbers grow.

Although you won’t be able to import your saves from the ARPG’s classic version into any of the two tests, the full version of the remaster will allow it, as previously revealed. During the tests, you’ll also find that you characters can be attacked while at a loading screen but that will also not be the case in the full game.
Diablo II: Resurrected is slated to release on September 23 and headed to PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
