Diablo 3 Season 23 marks the first major reset of 2021, making its start and end dates important details for players who like to plan ahead. A new season brings with it a fresh theme alongside various rewards that players can pursue as they level up their characters and complete endgame challenges.
Pinpointing the Diablo 3 Season 23 start and end dates before Blizzard announces them is always tricky. The game’s seasons vary in length quite a bit – ranging between 70 and 136 days – and usually have a two-week break between them, outside of special circumstances.
Diablo 3 Season 23 Release Date
Diablo 3’s seasons have routinely begun on the following Friday, which Blizzard has confirmed will also be the case this time around. Diablo 3 Season 23’s official start date has been locked down to April 2, at 5PM (PDT/CET/KST).
It was predated by the launch of Update 2.7.0, which makes your companions feel like an even more active part of battles.
The Diablo 3 Season 23 end date was revealed earlier in July and has now occurred.
Expected End Date
- Between June 13 and August 15
- Official End Date: July 18
Diablo 3 Season 23 Theme
Season 23, titled Disciples of Sanctuary, revamps Kormac, Lyndon, and Eirena, the trusty followers that have aided players since the game’s launch. Having gathered experience from watching you fight, they now have access to 14 item slots that greatly increase their power.
The new Emanate feature also makes it possible for players to gain the effect of certain Legendary Powers and Set Bonuses from items equipped on their active follower.
Diablo 3 Season 23 Cosmetic Rewards
Returning from Season 11, players get the chance to unlock the Conqueror Set’s pants and boot slot items, the Emerald Dragon pet, and the Treasure Goblins portrait.
Completing the Season 23 Guardian Journey also lets you grab the new Lacuni Cub pet and the Chopping Block portrait frame.
Diablo 3 Season 23 Season Journey Rewards
Diablo 3’s Disciples of Sanctuary Season lets you unlock an additional stash tab, by finishing the Conqueror tier, unless you’ve already reached the total of five available across Seasons. These are its Season Journey tasks:
- Far Away: Kill the Siegebreaker Assault Beast at level 70 in under 30 seconds on Torment X difficulty.
- Money Ain't a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment X difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed's domain, The Vault.
- A Little More: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo.
- 4 Minutes to Save the World: Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment X difficulty within 4 minutes.
- Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55.
- All I Do is Win: Complete 2 Conquests this Season.
Diablo 3 Season 23 Seasonal Conquests
Seasonal Conquests provide a set of achievements that players in both softcore and hardcore modes can tackle chasing personal glory and a neat spot on the leaderboards.
Avarice and Avaritia test your ability to get a massive gold streak, while Speed Demon and Need for Speed require players to complete a max level Nephalem Rift in under 2 minutes on Torment X or higher.
Boss Mode and Worlds Apart focus on quickly slaughtering bosses, Divinity and Lionhearted are unlocked upon reaching Greater Rift Level 75 Solo, while Masters of the Universe and Masters of Sets test your, uhm, mastery of various dungeon sets.
Diablo 3 Season 23 Haedrig’s Gift
Season 23 also changes the class sets obtained from completing certain chapters in the Season Journey. Here are the Disciples of Sanctuary Haedrig Gift’s sets:
- Monk - Raiment of a Thousand Storms
- Demon Hunter - Unhallowed Essence
- Crusader - Roland’s Legacy
- Wizard - Tal Rasha’s Elements
- Barbarian - Wrath of the Wastes
- Witch Doctor - Helltooth Harness
- Necromancer - Bones of Rathma
With Diablo 3 seasonal content going forward at a steady pace and details about Diablo 4’s skills and itemization emerging, the series looks to be in a pretty good place as far as its future is concerned.
