If you were pining for some digital bloodshed over the holidays’ Diablo 4’s Slay Ride to Hell event has got you covered, encouraging the community to wage war on millions of very unlucky treasure goblins.
Set to start on December 17, 2024, the event lasts for a bit over two weeks, ending on January 2, 2025. During this time, every treasure goblin killed across Sanctuary contributes to unlocking several tiers worth of rewards that both impact gameplay and add new limited-time cosmetics to our wardrobe.
Diablo 4 Slay Ride to Hell Event
Diablo IV’s Slay Ride to Hell event includes five different tiers of rewards. The final one requires slaughtering no less than 40,000,000 goblins, so it’s no wonder the developer decided to make it a team effort.
Once a new milestone is reached, you can claim your goodies from the Goblin Square in Kyovashad. Treasure Goblins spawn across all of Sanctuary’s zones.
Some rewards are also available only to owners of Vessel of Hatred, Diablo IV’s latest expansion. Here is the full list.
Tier 1: Goblin Bag - 5,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
- Legendary Weapons cache (includes 3 Ancestral Legendary Items with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
- 1 Legendary Rune and 2 Random runes (VoH exclusive)
- Random Undercity Tribute (VoH exclusive)
Tier 2: Goblin Bag - 10,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
- Unique and Legendary Weapons cache (includes three Ancestral Legendary items and one Ancestral Unique all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
- Random Undercity Tribute (VoH exclusive)
- 1 Legendary Rune, 3 random Runes (VoH exclusive)
Tier 3: Greater Goblin Bag - 15,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
- Fruit of the Harvest Mount Trophy (claimed from shop)
- Unique Weapons (includes three Ancestral Legendary items and two Ancestral Uniques all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
- 5 Undercity Tributes of Radiance (United) (VoH exclusive)
- 2 Legendary Runes, 3 random Runes (VoH exclusive)
Tier 4: Greater Goblin Bag - 25,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
- Harvest Mare’s Totem Mount Trophy (claimed from shop)
- 3 Ancestral Uniques (all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
- 6 Runes (3 Legendary, 2 Rare, 1 random) (VoH exclusive)
- Citadel Coins (VoH exclusive)
Tier 5: Mythic Goblin Bag - 40,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
- 1 Resplendent Spark
- Harvest Mare’s Barding Mount Armor (claimed from shop)
- 3 Ancestral Uniques, 8 Ancestral Legendary Items all with a guaranteed Greater Affix
- 8 Runes (5 Legendary, 2 Rare, 1 random) (VoH exclusive)
- 3 Tributes of Ascendance (United) (VoH exclusive)
- 5 Tributes of Radiance (United) (VoH exclusive)
- 20,000 Citadel Coins (VoH exclusive)
While Diablo IV’s Slay Ride to Hell event is live, the Mother’s Blessing buff will also be active, granting increased experience and gold gains.
Furthermore, between December 19 and January 3, the Spiritborn class introduced in the Vessel of Hatred expansion will be playable for free until level 25.
