Elden Ring has now launched, finally letting us roam across the Lands Between and hunt down its gorgeous vistas and imposing bosses. Its visuals struck a chord with players from early on, making quite a few hope that ultrawide support would be available at launch.
Elden Ring ultrawide support was brought up in discussions even prior to the game’s release, players who opted for such monitors hoping they would get to run FromSoftware’s latest action-RPG without having to resort to any workarounds.
Unfortunately, Elden Ring does not feature officially implemented ultrawide support at launch, which is rather disappointing.

Nevertheless, there still is a chance that it might be added at a later point in time, but there is no concrete information as to whether or not that will actually happen. We’ll simply have to wait and see.
At the same time, third-party software Flawless Widescreen does have a plugin for the game, its initial version reportedly removing letterboxing.
If you do plan on using it, it’s worth keeping in mind that you’ll need to disable Easy Anti-Cheat and likely put the game in Offline mode, since using third-party software while online goes against the terms of service and could see you banned.
We’ll keep an eye out and update this article should we learn anything new about official Elden Ring ultrawide support.
Elden Ring is out now on PC and consoles. You can grab it from Fanatical, for the discounted price of £41.99/€50.39 or your regional equivalent, as well as other major storefronts.
