Publisher and developer Sixteen Tons Entertainment today announced that co-op real-time strategy game series Emergency is making its comeback to PC “soon” with a brand new title.
Simply called Emergency, the latest entry in the long-running series puts you in the role of incident manager, tasking you with managing units to fight raging fires, rescue injured civilians, and stop rampaging gangsters.
Supporting up to four players, Emergency “will offer endless exciting gameplay with no shift being quite like the other,” according to its publisher.
Weather plays a role in missions, and you can expect to face lightning storms, freezing cold, and blazing heat. You start out as a trainee and build your experience, taking on more challenging rescue missions.
“You will have to work closely with your fellow incident commanders to coordinate your units. Mobilize your SWAT trucks, water tenders, ambulances and more to stay on top of the chaos.”
Emergency will be a free-to-play title with in-app purchases, as per its Steam page. Its return to PC doesn’t have a set date just yet, but its publisher did tease “an exclusive closed beta coming your way soon.”
