Fallout 76’s Strength in Numbers quest is part of the title’s Wastelanders update, beginning after you complete Hunter for Hire.
Strength in Numbers revolves around finding Duchess’ two bodyguards, Sol and Polly, which will take you through a handful of Fallout 76’s locations.
Fallout 76 Strength in Numbers
As soon as you pick up Strength in Numbers from Duchess, go to your Pip-Boy’s radio tab and sync it with the Transmitter Signal option that should appear. This will highlight a large area on your map. Make your way to it.
In this area, you’re looking for a pile of Scorched corpses. Search them and you should find the Gauley Mine Production Log item. Read it, then head toward Gauley Mine, which should be located to your north.
Follow the path through Gauley Mine and you should eventually reach Sol, one of the two targets of Fallout 76’s Strength in Numbers quest. Talk to Sol, offer him a Stimpack and he’ll let you know that Polly went further into the mine.
Near Sol, on the right, you’ll see a narrow path. Take it and you’ll arrive in a larger room. You’ll likely have to deal with Scorched on your way there. Look for a set of stairs in the larger room and go to the bottom floor.
You’ll then have to head through another narrow path but, thankfully, at the end of it you’ll find Polly on a nearby workbench.
Interacting with Polly gives you her head and prompts another attack by Scorched. Fight them off, then head to the Wayward.
After placing Polly’s head in the moonshine jug at the Wayward, you’ll have to set out and find a pristine Assaultron body. Head to Summersville, enter the Duncan & Duncan’s Robot Shop and talk to Skinner.
With a strength of 4 or higher, you can intimidate him, otherwise, head upstairs and either use the card reader or lockpick the door.
Once inside, you’ll spot some red beams. As video game and movie wisdom suggests, touching them is a bad idea.
The pristine Assaultron body is on the other side of the showroom. If you can lockpick skill 3 locks, you can head there straight away. Otherwise, take the hole in the wall on your left to arrive in the attic.
There, you’ll find a note and a holotape revealing the code for the locked door behind which you’ll find the pristine Assaultron body.
Since you’re reading this guide, we’ll make your life easier and tell you that the code is 88888. Imaginative, isn’t it?
Regardless of how you got past the door, place the tracker on the body, head back to the Wayward, talk to Polly and you should be done with Fallout 76’s Strength in Numbers quest.
