Final Fantasy XIV has several currencies you need to keep track of, especially if you’re an avid collector of things, and knowing where to find the Bicolor Gemstones location is important if you’re looking to do everything you can in Shadowbringers before Endwalker takes its place on the throne of current content.
FFXIV’s Bicolor Gemstones don’t all hide in one location, which is both a good and a bad thing. They’re actually earned by completing FATEs (Full Active Time Events) that spawn across The First. As a reminder, these are events that periodically spawn across the map.
You can easily identify them by their hexagonal symbol with golden borders and a light purple interior. Unlike quests, which you need to pick up, you only need to enter a FATE’s area to take part in it. Contributing will earn you FFXIV Bicolor Gemstones, which you can exchange for a variety of rewards at different Gemstone vendors.
Final Fantasy 14’s Bicolor Gemstone rewards run the gamut from crafting materials to mounts, orchestrion rolls, or decorations for your house, if you count among the lucky players who own one of those.
Most vendors offer three ranks of rewards, the first of which usually requires you to complete a main scenario quest in its area. You can track how many Bicolor Gemstones you add from the Shared FATE submenu in the Travel menu, rather than the currency tab, which can be a bit annoying at first.
That’s what you need to know about Final Fantasy 14’s Bicolor Gemstone locations. For more on the game, here’s when Endwalker, its next expansion, launches and what we can expect to see in it.
