FFXIV’s patch 6.25 is one of the MMORPG’s smaller updates, meant to bridge the gap between August’s patch 6.2 and the next major content drop. Although it may not introduce any drastic changes, its release date is of interest to players who might be looking for new activities to do over the next couple of weeks.
Final Fantasy 14’s patch 6.25 brings with it a new batch of of Hildibrand quests – which by themselves should be reason enough to log in or return to the MMORPG if you’re taking a break – alongside weapon enhancement quests, part of the Manderville weaponry saga, and more.
FFXIV Patch 6.25 Release Date
Publisher Square Enix has now revealed that FFXIV’s patch 6.25 release date is slated to occur as soon as October 18, 2022.
Similar patches usually launch around one or two months after their associated major content drop, which means that the post-launch content schedule remains on track, at least for the time being.

The update also brings with it Omicron tribal quests as well as a new variant dungeon – The Sil’dihn Subterrane –, which caters to solo players looking for a casual, story-driven experience.
Adventurers looking to party up in groups of four can also tackle the considerably more challenging Another Sil’dihn Subterrane criterion dungeon, which is also available on Savage difficulty.
As the publisher explains, you can expect it to “impose unique rules and restrictions─such as limiting character resurrections.”
