Publisher and developer Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 16 has sold 3 million copies. The news comes less than a week following its launch.
The milestone includes both physical and digital versions of the title and is even more noteworthy due to FF16 releasing as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Moreover, this title represents a substantial shift from prior entries in the series, emphasizing action-oriented combat and a narrative with a more somber tone.
This divergence caused a split among fans prior to and after its release. However, both the initial critical response and its current sales figures suggest that Square Enix’s risk may indeed be yielding favorable returns.
The number of copies sold is likely set to steadily increase over the coming period. On top of that, a PC version of Final Fantasy XVI is also in the works.
If you’re only now setting foot on Valisthea and joining protagonist Clive Rosfield on his perilous journey, you may want to know how long you can expect it to be and whether or not there’s a new game plus mode.
